Soft. The pair we recommend first.
A gentler spread and less to close against, while the movement is still new. Not because your feet are fragile — because the first week is where people push too hard, and the softer foam is the one to learn on. Move to Firm once this one feels easy rather than merely bearable.
- Three sizes — Small, Medium, Large
- $39.95 — same price as Firm
- Made in Japan since 1988
- Wrong size? We'll exchange it
Pick your firmness, then your size.
Soft is the pair we recommend first, to everyone. A gentler spread and less to close against — not because feet are fragile, but because the movement is unfamiliar and the first week is where people push too hard. Move to Firm once Soft feels easy rather than merely bearable. Both cost the same.
Shoe size gets you close. What actually has to fit is the width and thickness of your toes, so the three sizes below are shown at the same camera distance — the difference you see is the real difference. Drag any of them to look at the slots. Soft and Firm share the same shape in each size; only the foam differs.
Small
Women's US 4.5–7
Men's US below 7*
Medium
Women's US 7–9.5
Men's US 7–8.5
Large
Women's US 9.5–12
Men's US 8.5–14
One model per size is all you need to compare — the shape is the same in Soft and Firm. Tap the AR icon on any model to place it on your floor at real size.
Start from your everyday shoe size
Not your sport shoe. Cleats, climbing shoes, pointe shoes and racing flats are fitted tight on purpose, usually a half to a full size under what your foot measures. They tell you nothing about what this has to fit. Use the shoes you walk around in — or better, measure your bare foot.
| Toe-Rx size | Women's US | Men's US |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 4.5 – 7 | below 7 * |
| Medium | 7 – 9.5 | 7 – 8.5 |
| Large | 9.5 – 12 | 8.5 – 14 |
* The maker's chart gives no men's range for Small. If your men's US size is below 7, you are in Small territory — but at that size, measure your bare foot rather than trusting a conversion.
If you land on a boundary, or your toes aren't average
Shoe size measures length. What has to fit here is width and thickness.
- Thick or broad toes: go up a size. A Medium can pinch even when your shoe size says Medium.
- Slim, long toes: go down a size. A Large sits loose and gives you nothing to close against.
- A big toe that has drifted inward: the first slot will feel tighter than the others. That is the deformity, not the sizing — but if it reads as pain rather than firmness, size up or choose Soft.
- Women's 7 and 9.5, men's 8.5 sit on the line between two sizes. Let your toe shape decide.
The one check that is actually to scale
On an iPhone or iPad, tap the AR icon on any model above to place a full-size Toe-Rx on your floor. Hold your bare foot beside it. The closer the AR image sits to the floor, the more accurate the size. The screen can only show relative size; AR shows the real thing at the real size, and it is the closest you can get to trying one on before it arrives.
On Android, the same icon opens Scene Viewer. The product pages below carry the same models.
Wrong size? Sizing from a shoe size is an estimate, not a guarantee. If yours pinches or slips, get in touch and we will exchange it for the size that fits. Please do that rather than adapting to it — wearing the wrong size is uncomfortable and can cause injury.
The three sizes are just below. Same price, whichever you pick.
